In what ways are societal conflicts different from interpersonal conflicts? What concepts from this chapter would be helpful to use in any conflict situation? In what ways is conflict resolution different if you are the one experiencing the conflict versus the one mediating between others in conflict? What is our ethical responsibility toward future generations? Should we hold leaders to a higher standard regarding ethics? Why or why not? Whistleblowers are individuals who bring to light corruption and ethical failures, often at great personal cost. Research an example of whistleblowing and consider the following questions: Why did the individual “blow the whistle? (What was the reason and what did they hope to accomplish?)” How did the public revelation change the lives of the whistleblowers? What would you do in a similar situation?
