Submission of twenty (20) medical terms related to the written assignment topic – REMINDER: THESE TERMS MUST BE USED IN YOUR CASE STUDY. At least ten (10) of the selected medical terms must have a root combined with suffix and/or prefix. Submission requirements: This step can be accomplished by submitting a completed table of the 20 selected medical terms Submission of Written Assignment (100 total points)– Written composition of a CASE STUDY that demonstrates understanding of the medical topic of choice by properly using selected medical terms. The written assignment will be a minimum of 600 words using Time New Roman 12 font type, double spaced. Submission requirements: This step can be accomplished by submitting a written composition on the selected topic, using the selected medical terms to the assignment drop box by date noted in the course syllabus/. The Case Study approach similar to what is found in each chapter of the textbook is the required format for this written assignment. You should create a patient scenario/encounter that is well researched, but use your own words while incorporating the medical terms appropriately. This must be your original work for which you should use several resources to gain an understanding of the topic and be able to explain, in medical terms, what you have learned. There is no requirement of a references page for this assignment as you should not be using the words of another. If you do utilize a creative way to incorporate words from another source, be certain to cite it both within the body of the text as well as in a references page. Plagiarism or cheating may result in disciplinary action at the college level as well as a 0% for the project. Failure to highlight/use bold font for the selected medical terms will result in a 25 point deduction. 100 points Possible in step #3: a. 20 points for inclusion of information that shows understanding of the chosen topic b. 20 points for inclusion of information about the body system it involves c. 20 points for inclusion of the signs and symptoms of the disease
