I have uploaded an APA document that shows you the correct way to cite televisio
I have uploaded an APA document that shows you the correct way to cite television episodes and television shows along with examples of APA compliant references. Proper in-text citations and references of the television episodes and television shows will be mandatory for this paper. The episodes will not count as one of the scholarly references. But because you watched and discussed it, it must be cited. Failure to cite the television episode properly will result in deduction of points. Mandatory Writing Guidelines - Failure to adhere will result in deductions Please follow APA 7th edition guidelines for running head, content, in-text citations, and references. Avoid the use of pronouns such as I, he, she, we, you, or they unless part of a direct quote. Avoid the use of contractions unless part of a direct quote. Write academically and scholarly - this is a formal paper. It is not an opinion paper. Make sure you use complete sentences; fragmented sentences are unacceptable. Avoid long, run on sentences and keep word count to 20-25 (not much over) to maintain readability and clarity. Avoid all bolding in this paper. If you must use subsection headings, center them and do not bold. Avoid excessive direct quotations. Interpret and paraphrase what you read then cite it. If you use a quotation with 40+ words, it must be formatted per APA rules. In-text citations must mirror references and references must mirror in-text citations exactly. Finally use properly indented paragraphs, typically three to four per page. Please do not write one paragraph that encompasses the entire page. Please DO NOT use "Retrieved from" or "Retrieval dates" in your references. This IS NOT a recap or summary of the episode and will result in a low grade if it is written as such. The following assignment guidelines that must be followed. To avoid mandatory deductions, the paper must contain each of the following items. Must be at least 6 pages (cover page, abstract page, body-minimum of 3 full pages (no more than 4), references), 1” margins, left aligned, entire document must be double-spaced, NO JUSTIFIED margins, Times New Roman 12-point font, header must be APA 7th edition format (failure to follow these elements can result in a grade of 0) Cover page must include specific elements, come down 2/3 section of the middle of the page and properly center: Title of document (DO NOT include the word Assignment) Course prefix and course name (on same line) Your name Professor’s title and full name University name Date (i.e. March 13, 2022) APA compliant reference page with minimum of five (5) SCHOLARLY and/or PEER-REVIEWED journal articles. Sources must be between 2016 - 2022* – References MUST have an author's name. Use APA 7th edition format (failure to meet the minimum source requirement will result in a major deduction up to a grade of 0). If you cite a specific theory from the textbook and/or PPT, please cite both because that is the basis for the lecture content on the slides in addition to my research. The narrative in-text citation format would appear similar to: According to Akers et al. (2016) and Thompson (2021)... The parenthetical in-text citation would appear as (Akers et al., 2016; Thompson, 2021). The information for the book is in the syllabus. Cite Thompson as course PPT. There are thousands of scholarly, peer reviewed journal articles out there. Websites and Wikipedia ARE NOT acceptable for the theory identification. As stated above, you must cite the episode correctly and use proper in-text citations; however, it does not count as scholarly. NOTE: The format for the series and/or epiosde MUST contain all of the elements in parentheses and brackets EXACTLY as written. *NOTE: If you use a source that is prior to 2016, you must include an additional source that is within the required time period to avoid mandatory deductions.
